After installing Windows 8 Pro, every couple of minutes I get a blue screen error "Windows needs to reboot because of Kernel_Security_Check_Failure.

I just installed Windows 8 Pro on my Dell Inspiron N5110 with Intel Core i7, replacing Windows Home Premium.
It boots to the welcome screen and I can even launch programs, but within a couple of minutes I get a blue screen error "Windows needs to
reboot because of Kernel_Security_Check_Failure.
This repeats over and over, and I now have a non-functional laptop!

Windows 8 has a very useful auto-repair option that allows even beginners to quickly repair the OS within minutes.
Corruption of Windows is a major problem for Windows.
There are many possible causes of corruption, one of them is infection form a virus
while using the internet when a virus is encountered from a global source when downloading and uploading files.
Whenever a Microsoft-based operating system is used, it is quite obvious that after some time the entire OS is vulnerable to corruption.
When this
is the case, you, as an administrator, are supposed to repair the computer so that it can be restored to its running state.
The same is the case with Microsoft Windows 8; but when it becomes corrupt, it can be repaired using the builtin system tools specifically integrated into the operating system to solve the problem.
Therefore, as a Windows 8 user, if you want to repair
the corrupt operating system you are required to follow the steps given below:
Step 1: Power on the your computer in which the Microsoft Windows 8 operating system is installed.
Step 2: During the start-up process press the
F8 key repeatedly to enter the boot menu.
Step 3: In the option window click on the Troubleshoot option.
Step 4: In the Troubleshoot window click on the
Advanced options option.
Step 5: In the Advanced options window click on the
Automatically repair option to restart.
Step 6: Once restarted, choose an account with administrative privileges from
Automatic repair window credentials of which you want to use to repair Windows 8.
Step 7: In the next screen enter the appropriate password and hit the
Continue button to initiate the automatic repair process.
Note: You have to use the reinstallation disc to perform automatic repair.

How to Avoid Downloading Malware

Where are you getting the download?

There are malicious people who download valid copies of a popular download, modify the file with malicious software, and then upload the file with the same name. Make sure you are downloading from the developer's web page or a reputable company.

Cancel or deny any automatic download

Some sites may automatically try start a download or give the appearance that something needs to be installed or updated before the site or video can be seen. Never accept or install anything from any site unless you know what is downloading.

Avoid advertisements on download pages

To help make money and pay for the bandwidth costs of supplying free the software, the final download page may have ads. Watch out for anything that looks like advertisements on the download page. Many advertisers try to trick viewers into clicking an ad with phrases like "Download Now", "Start Download", or "Continue" and that ad may open a separate download.

Hi,
@JS
In System section, there was a lot error for disc! After login, there was this error : "The device, \Device\Harddisk0\DR0, has a bad block." repeated every 3 seconds for 4 minutes.
Then I go to recovery console, and check disc with : "chkdsk C: /f /r

There was one bad sector, and after repaired that, login is now normal.
Also there is no error in System section of Events.
Thanks for helping.

Hi,
I think i resolve the problem.
It was a metro app that hanging up my pc.
So my investigation was like this.
I create another account on my pc a clean one without any metro apps but the one that come with W8.1
So i'm logging with it.
And nothing happen.
All was going fine.
So i was pretty sure at this point the problem was coming with the metro apps.
Because when i use my usually account i have a lot of apps on the metro desktop loading.
And after that i was connecting with my usual account i look again on the error and i found this " PublicationsMetroFrance.MetroFrance" so i chek the inventory of my metro apps and i found this one "metronews" because this one is a french journal from France.
So i uninstall it.
And after that i reboot and no more error.
The pc was running fluidly again.
So maybe it was an interaction with something, and metro didn't like it.
I don't know why.
p.s.
the update KB2933809 was installed and running ok.
VoilĂ .

sorry for my english
thanks again for your help.

Troubleshoot:All applications produce 0xc0000022 error

All applications produce 0xc0000022 error

Greetings!

My Asus 64 bit Windows 7 machine has been rendered inoperable due to 0xc0000022 error.  I've been trolling the Internet and working on this issue for the past 2 weeks.  Here are the particulars:

Initial symptoms: machine hangs in "Shutting Down" i.e., it never closes.  I force a shut down and reboot.  Upon returning to Windows, all apps (everything: Firefox, Word, Excel, Picasa, Adobe Photoshop Elements, etc.) return the 0xc0000022 error.  I am able
to open each one individually when I select "open as administrator".  All virus software, including my Symantec virus software and MS virus software has somehow been disabled and is unable to be reopened.  All of my data files remain accessible.

I have run Malwarebytes: it found 2 instances of 1 virus.  It was removed, the system was rescanned and it reports no virus found.

System Restore doesn't work; it proceeds through the whole process until the very end when it says there were errors and no files were changed.

I have repeatedly run sfc /scannow.  It indicates it is unable to repair all of the damaged files that it finds.  The log it produces is 5,000+ kb; the hundreds of entries make it impossible for me to interpret and to identify "the one file" that is causing
the problem.

I have run chkdsk.  It ran all night; it found some bad sectors which it repaired.  No change in machine behavior.

Asus has a startup repair utility.  It has been run without success.  I have run an Asus image disc; however it wasn't generated until AFTER the problems started occurring.  I would guess the image is damaged as well.

My goal is to effect repairs without rewriting the entire hard drive on this barely 1-old desktop computer.  Anyone out there looking for a challenge?

Thanks for your thoughts!

Yaqub:

Thanks for your clarification.

I had begun moving data files onto another drive in preparation for finding an installation disc and implementing the procedure you recommended.  However I attempted yet another Restore from an advanced start-up screen.  After a lengthy processing time once
again the computer indicated the process failed and no files were changed.  This time I elected to start-up from a saved image -- I didn't think one is available; I was going to use the start-up CD-R's I had created a couple days ago but the computer never
requested additional input from me.

Anyway, the computer started properly with full functionality restored to every application.  I ran a full system virus scan -- nothing found.  I initiated a restore-set point to save the computer as-is.  I can't explain what was different about this attempt;
I believe this was the first time I selected "start-up from saved image" option.

Thanks again for your time and suggestions.
