After updating to service pack 1 win 7, along with 2 other updates, the windows start screen does not display the twirling microsoft symbol right away.

I installed Service Pack 1 on Windows 7 and installed two other updates along with it.  After i installed these 3 updates, when my computer boots up, it says "Starting Windows" at the bottom but the twirling microsoft symbol does not show up for about
15 seconds, then loads normally.  This happens everytime I boot now.

Boot in Safe Mode:

• Open Run command as previously described
• Type MSConfig
• Click on Boot tab
• Tick Safe boot in Boot option
• Select Network
• Click Apply and OK
• Reboot your system
