Alternate between Date, Month, and Year
Hi all,
I'm not sure if there is a function for this in Excel (2007), but I was hoping it would be possible to create a custom format for my cells which would function as follows
If I enter 1/1/01, output January 1, 2001
If I enter 1/01, output January, 2001
If I enter 01, output 2001
It doesn't need to be input exactly like that, I'd just like Excel to be able to format each cell based on the available information, rather than assuming when I input January 2001, that I mean 1/1/01.
Let me know if you have any thoughts (that don't involve macros).
Thanks in advance!
