Acrobat issues with scanner

Using Canon CanoScan LiDE 60 with Acrobat 5.0.  Having conflicts.  Is there any update available to resolve this problem?  I have used these together before without this issue.

Have you checked the Canon and Adobe sites for driver updates? What operating system are you using (Vista?) and what exactly are the errors you are receiving? When were you able to use these together last and have there been any changes in your hardware or
software?

Tweak IE Options

• Open Internet Explorer.
• Go to "Tools > Internet Options > Advanced Tab".
• Uncheck "Enable third-party browser extensions".
• Click "Apply".
  
• Reboot your computer.
