Action center shows error that Backup was unable to run - says Bitlocker files are missing or corrup - use boot menu - repair option to fix - Buuuuuuuut

Have never been able to create a system backup / image / repair disc etc...
This system was just built with a clean install of Windows 7 Professional SP1 - ran all of the windows updates / installed all the drivers / transferred over my data and settings
from the old computer - got everything installed and setup the way I wanted and then when I tried to run the Backup it fails - the action center gives me the message : Bitlocker Drive Encryption cannot be used because critical BitLocker system files are missing
or corrupted.
Use Windows Startup Repair to restore these files to your computer. 

OK fine -- I reboot the system with my install disc - hit the F8 key to bring up the startup menu -- select the "repair" option.
get the message that its loading files blah blah then a selection box pops up asking for me to select keyboard language or
something ..
whatever but right when this screen comes on ..
I would assume the "repair" program running -- my keyboard and mouse and all USB devices shut down .. 

I have no way to make the selection and click or select next -- all input devices on my PC have just been shut down -- ??? I know this is not my BIOS settings as I have all USB legacy support enabled ..
AND they work in the boot menus etc..
ONLY trying
to run this windows repair does it shut down my keyboard and mouse ..
so how do I run them if it ignores all input?

Then I just had a second thought -- this was a new and clean install of windows -- I never installed BitLocker or any other encryption software yet -- just Office and some Adobe programs and a couple of my games - the only "security" type software I installed
was moving over my Norton to this computer...
Did it bring something from my old PC ? Although I dont remember installing BitLocker on it either...
Now Im just getting annoyed lol...
