How Can You Fix - address bar history gone?

address bar history gone

I have the new Internet 8.
My address bar does not keep my history anymore and I want it back.
How can I get it back? the suggestions in the other thread did not work.  I have 20 days to keep history.
I tried Steve H utility.
Nothing helps.
Please help.
I have XP 2002.
