Connected to internet, But no internet access, Help?

Okay, so I live in an apartment complex where the ethernet connection is in the wall.
My wireless router is hooked up to that connection.
The problem is that when I open the list of networks to connect to I am connected to my named network, but the bars
icon on the bottom right of the toolbar shows "no internet access" when you hover over it.
I cannot get online at all, even though it shows full bars and it has that little yellow exclamation mark.
I also tried directly connecting to my computer right from
the wall, but the same problem occurs.
I have windows seven, if that is needed to know.

• Go to the Start button.
