Troubleshooting:Cannot connect to Windows 7 Ultimate machine with Windows 7 Professional, but can with Windows XP Error

Cannot connect to Windows 7 Ultimate machine with Windows 7 Professional, but can with Windows XP

Hello,

I recently got a new machine (Dell Latitude E6510) with Windows 7 Professional x64 installed.
I use my laptop to remote into several work machines which are all running Windows 7 Ultimate.

The machines at work, including my primary desktop, are Dell Precision T5500s running Windows 7 Ultimate x64.
They are all on the same domain.
I can remote between any of these machines, so I know they are set up to allow Remote Desktop connections.

Likewise, before I got this new machine, I regularly used both Windows XP and Windows Vista machines (both x32-bit) to connect to my work machines (which at the time ran XP and then 7 Ultimate x64.
Once I got this 7 Professional x64 machine (and a new 7 Home
Premium x64 desktop, which shows the same issue), I cannot remote into my work machines anymore.

When I try to connect, I do not get to even a logon screen, instead, I get the following error:

Remote Desktop can't connect to the remote computer for one of these reasons:

1) Remote access to the server is not enabled.
2) The remote computer is turned off.
3) The remote computer is not available on the network.

Make sure the remote computer is turned on and connected to the network, and that remote access is enabled.

Now, I know that none of the above errors is, in fact, true, because I have borrowed a Windows XP and a Windows Vista machine, and have them beside me at the moment, successfully connecting to the remote machine - outside of the domain, using the same username\password
to connect, and using the static ips of the machines to connect.
Basically, even though I am trying to connect to the same machine using identical methods, I cannot successfully connect to a remote machine using any Windows 7 x64 OSes, except for Windows 7
Ultimate x64.

Any idea why I can't connect to a Windows7 Ultimate (64-bit) machine with either 7 Professional (64-bit) or 7 Home Premium (64-bit), but can connect with XP or Vista? Any idea how to solve this problem?

Thanks,
-Matt
