According to Windows 7 compatibility Center, Driver Detective version 8 is compatible with Windows 7.
What version are you trying to install?
Check
out the list here for compatiblity.
I suggest you contact the manufacturer, PC Drivers Headquaters for assistance with issue and see if they have an updated version of their software.

Open Action Center by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, and then, under System and Security, clicking Review your computer's status.
