Can I run MS Office in Windows 7 and another program in Windows XP mode simultaenously?
Bought a new computer w/ Windows 7 Professional. I just discovered that a non-MS program (call it Program #2) that I intended to run on the computer using the installed OS will only run on Windows XP (b/c a third program, AutoHotKey, which I intend to
run w/ Program #2, will only work w/ Program #2 in Windows XP). I discovered that I can run Program #2 in Windows XP Mode on my Windows 7 computer. So far, so good. But in addition to Program #2 (and AutoHotKey), I also need to run MS Office simultaneously
w/ the other two. I have a valid copy of MS Office Home & Business 2010 on the computer, but it's configured for its native OS, Windows 7. I would need another license to install a copy of Office H&B 2010 in Windows XP mode, but Microsoft is no longer selling
Office 2010. What's more, Office 2013 doesn't run on Windows XP. So my question is: Can I run Program #2 (and AutoHotKey) in Windows XP mode, while simultaneously running Office 2010 in Windows 7, and switch from Program #2 to Office (and vice-versa) as
effortlessly and seamlessly as switching from one browser window to another? Thanks.
